Sextus Octavian Felici Perpet, in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy more
The inscription above reads as follows (I can read it in the original photograph I tool, before I scaled it down for the Web; if you want the original of this or any other just ask. Barefoot. Kneeling.) —
A - fragment of an inscription in honor of iulia augusta domna, wife of the emporor septimus severus and mother of caracalla (post 212 a.d.).
B - false latin inscription (17th – 18th century) regarding felix herculeo who would have been in charge of some public office.
C - fragment of a tombstone with inscription (1st century a.d.) celebrating sextus octavian member of the college of the augustales.
D - plaster cast of a bas-relief with representation of porto pisano (end of xiii century) kept in genoa.
E - inscription for a vibellio belonging to the fabia tribe of lucca (maybe 2nd century a.d.).
I think the subject of the photograph is almost certainly item C, assuming that it relates to the caption at all, as we have Sextus ovtav[ian] clearly visible. The Roman lettering is very beautiful in this inscription.
