Church of San Giorgio dei Tedeschi 3: Caption
The church was built in 1316 in memory of the German soldiers who had died in the battle of Montecatini; later on it was called San Giorgio degli Innocenti because it was annexed to the ‘Ospedale dei Trovatelli’ (hospital of the foundlings); in 1784 it was annexed to the Ospedali Riuniti di Santa Chiara. Its plan is an aisleless one made of bricks with traces of frescoed escutcheons on the outside.
