Notes:

Almost all roofing here is done with ashphalt “shingles” that come in huge sheets. We’d prefer a tile roof, and our current house has a metal roof that could lsat anywhere from 50 to 100 years, but this ashphalt stuff is amazingly crappy. At any rate some or all of the rafters will probably need replacing.
